It's going to be a busy week!3/21/2016 ![]() Happy Spring, CERT! Because spring marks the beginning of severe weather season, our training all month has focused on preparing for and responding to severe weather situations. We have a busy week of training ahead and don't want anyone to miss out. Here's a quick recap of the schedule for this week - and a preview of next week! Monday, March 21 @ 7:00pm (Today!) - Damage Assessment Training at Erie Shores, 220 S. Gill Road, Port Clinton. We'll review the process for performing damage assessment according to FEMA's guidelines and discuss how CERT can best prepare to perform this critical task. Tuesday, March 22 @ 6:30pm - Skywarn Training presented by the National Weather Service at the US Border Patrol Station, 709 E. Catawba Road, Port Clinton. *** Please note: Seating for this class is limited; contact the Ottawa County EMA at 419-734-6900 to reserve a space *** Wednesday, March 23 @ 6:30pm - Skywarn Training presented by the National Weather Service at Norwalk High School, 350 Shady Lane, Norwalk. Pre-registration is not required for this session. Coming Next Week ... Wednesday, March 30 @ 6:30pm - Skywarn Training presented by the National Weather Service at Castaway Bay, 2001 Cleveland Road, Sandusky. Pre-registration is not required for this event.
